چکیده

The increased biomedical applications of enzyme-mimicking nanoparticles, also known as ‘nanozymes’ has necessitated their controlled design in terms physicochemical properties, and reduced toxicity. In this context, numerous approaches have been established to manufacture nanozymes using eco-friendly routes, however, surfaces suitable functionalization need much attention utilize full potential. Here, serine synthesised silver (Ag) fabricated, sequentially surface functionalized with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid), streptomycin, phosphomolybdic control nanozyme-mimicking nature, impart biological capabilities. Post-physicochemical characterization, all these functional Ag-centred were explored for inherent peroxidase enzyme-like behavior, haemcompatibility. cell viability proliferation assessments towards mouse RAW 264.7 macrophages confirmed the cytocompatible nature Ag nanozymes. Moreover, show anti-inflammatory potential by regulating key inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-β, TNF-α.

The Effect of MS14 on Production of Pro-inflammatory Cytokines by Macrophages

Objective(s) Using herbal medicines as a complementary treatment method is increasing in wide variety of diseases. MS14-an herbal-marine preparation-is reported to have anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities; however, the mechanism underlying its therapeutic effect is not known. Macrophages play an important role in host defense mechanisms and carry out their role by producing vario...

Morphine enhances interleukin-12 and the production of other pro-inflammatory cytokines in mouse peritoneal macrophages.

In this study we investigated the capacity of morphine to modulate expression of cytokines in peritoneal macrophages. Mice were implanted subcutaneously with a 75-mg morphine slow-release pellet, and 48 h later resident peritoneal macrophages were harvested. Control groups received placebo pellets, naltrexone pellets, or morphine plus naltrexone pellets. Adherent cells were stimulated with lipo...

Pro-inflammatory cytokines up-regulate MUC1 gene expression in oral epithelial cells.

The membrane-bound mucin MUC1 is expressed ubiquitously on epithelial surfaces and is thought to provide protection from bacterial and chemical injury. The present study was undertaken to determine whether MUC1 was expressed in cultured oral epithelial cells and whether expression is modulated by pro-inflammatory mediators released as part of the host response to infection by oral pathogens. No...

Inflammatory cytokines, but not bile acids, regulate expression of murine hepatic anion transporters in endotoxemia.

Endotoxin-mediated cholestasis stems from impaired hepatobiliary transport of bile acids and organic anions due to altered expression and activity of transporters, including Oatp, Mrp, Ntcp, and Bsep. However, the mechanisms by which the Oatp and Mrp genes are down-regulated are largely unknown. Using in vivo and in vitro murine models of inflammation, we examined the role of cytokines and bile...
